NEW! Slips & Surfaces: Hand Building Coasters

Let your Creativity flow as you explore a variety of surface design methods, combining color, contrast & carving. Create a set of four coasters while experimenting with slip decorating techniques. Learn about Sgraffito, carving and slip inlay to discover ways to customize your pieces. Put your own sense of style into your work to design a set of related pieces while taking your surface design skills to the next level. Materials & leather hard tiles will be provided. Students may bring 1-2 leather hard pieces to experiment with, (flat pieces such as plates & tiles are recommended). Pieces will be fired and glazed with a clear glaze by a staff member.Adults/All levels, some experience with clay is helpful but not necessary.

NEW! Surface Design Workshop: Slip Inlay

Take your surface designs skills to the next level while experimenting with slip inlay! Combine carving & color to add a design element to your piece, while adding another surface design technique to your repertoire. Carve into leather hard pieces while learning the best methods for creating lines & cuts that will hold the slip. Next, add some color to enhance your piece and discover the results of combining texture, color & contrast. Leather hard tiles will be provided but students are welcome to bring their own pieces to experiment with. Flat pieces such as tiles, plates & coasters are recommended. All levels/some hand building experience is helpful. Adults/Teens

Date Night: Wheel Throwing

Fridays, 5-7PM
Tuition: $80/couple

Have a date night at the studio! Couples will explore this captivating medium and learn about wheel throwing while spending some quality time together. Experience using a wheel while getting your hands in some clay. Learn about centering, shaping, and the process of making a pot on a wheel. Create memories and possibly some masterpieces to treasure in this 1-night class! Clay will be provided and each participant will be able to fire 1 piece which will be glazed by a staff member. All levels/no experience required. BYOB/Ages 21+

Pieces made in this class will not be fired. This class is focused on practicing the process, so students will not take home a finished product. Adults/Teens

Thursday Morning Wheel

This wheel class will focus on improving skills as needed for each student to grow in their abilities. We will cover centering, pulling up, shaping, trimming, surface treatment before bisquing and glazing after. Gaining confidence in the basics allows for self exploration in specific areas: rims, feet, lids, handles, spouts, altering, throwing larger and generally challenging yourself. Historic and contemporary pottery will be our inspiration. Join us for a fun class! All levels

Thursday Evening Wheel

Instructor: Saisorn Peemanao
Thursdays, 6-8:30 PM

This class will focus on making functional pottery using the potter’s wheel. Students will learn how to make bowls, cups, and plates. Several altering techniques will be demonstrated for making oval, square, and irregular forms in addition to round pots. Appendages such as handles, feet, and spouts will be considered in relation to form and function. Clay can be purchased at the beginning of class. All levels/Teens welcome

We have classes that are suitable for beginners and more experienced artists and potters. There are two comfortable studio spaces at the main building and an offsite painting studio. We encourage all students to go at their own pace in a relaxed environment.

Gift Certificates: Gift certificates are available to purchase. To use a gift certificate, please get in touch. We can tailor your gift to suit you.  

Open Studio is for currently enrolled clay students, and monthly independent study. Independent Study students are invited to sign up on a monthly basis.

Refund Policy: No refunds given for student cancellations less than 7 days from start of class.
