Refund Policy: No refunds given for cancellations less than 7 days from start of camp.

Camp session 1: Community Harmony with MCMC

Embark on a harmonious journey with the Middlebury Community Music Center and Middlebury Studio School during a week-long exploration of the arts that celebrates collaboration, creativity, and the magic of music. At this camp, students dive into a range of artistic experiences from singing beloved songs and engaging in rhythm-filled activities to crafting visual masterpieces at the Middlebury Studio School, Marble Works studio. This camp promises a dynamic blend of music, movement, and visual arts. Discover the joy of self-expression in an environment that fosters a love for the arts and a sense of community. Camp session 2: The Enchanted Forest

Step into a magical woodland where creativity and imagination come to life! In this enchanted forest-themed art camp, young artists will explore the wonders of fairy tales, mythical creatures, and nature’s magic through hands-on art projects. Campers will design and decorate their own fairy wings and crowns, craft charming mystic houses, and create shimmering magic wands and potions. Lanterns will be created with fairy dust to illuminate forest trails for woodland creatures.The week will culminate in a collaborative forest mural, bringing together all the magical elements of their enchanted world. With painting, sculpture, and mixed media, this camp is perfect for young artists who dream of stepping into an enchanted forest adventure!

Camp Sessions 3,4, & 5: Art in Nature At Branbury   

Instructor: Carrie Ade
Monday-Wednesday
Full Day 10am-4pm
Tuition: $310
Location: MSS Marble Works

Branbury State Park will serve as an adventure annex of MSS for this series! Campers will take part in three full days of big explorations in art and nature as they hike, explore, and develop artwork from the inspirations they discover. Students will learn and build on skills to creatively record their observations and impressions of the world around them as they experiment with different forms of artist mediums from drawing and sketching, painting, cyanotype, nature printing, and more.
Students will also learn about the local natural history, native plants and wildlife, and gain an understanding of respectful and sustainable approaches to interacting with the natural world.
This experience will be a perfect fit for young artists who also love nature and being outdoors! The day will also include breaks for swimming, games, and play. Ages 7-11

Camp session 6: The Circus!

Step right up for a week of creativity and fun under the big top! In this circus-themed art camp, young artists will explore the dazzling world of acrobats, animals, and carnival magic through painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Inspired by the excitement and spectacle of the circus, as well as artists like Chagall and Calder and the iconic Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey posters, campers will bring the magic to life through their own creations. Throughout the week, we’ll design vibrant circus posters, sculpt papier-mâché animals, and use drawing, pastels, and paint to capture the energy of the big top—plus much more! Ages 7-11

Camp session 7: Nature’s Palette

Campers will bring the outside into the art studio to create their own assortment of natural art supplies! While gaining inspiration from the outdoors, we will explore the creative process of using materials found in nature. We will be learning and experimenting with natural pigments from plants and minerals to make inks and paints. Using local clay, we will create vessels for our eco-art supplies and crafting sticks to use as pens and paint brushes. Campers will experience the art of letting go by creating ephemeral pieces of art that may be naturally weathered back into their environment. Ages 7-11

Mythical Creatures and Magical Worlds

Step into a world of fantasy and creativity where imagination comes to life! In this magical art camp, young artists will explore mythical creatures, enchanted landscapes, and legendary tales through painting, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media. Each day brings a new adventure—crafting clay dragons, designing fantasy realms, creating magical symbols—blending artistic techniques like printmaking and color theory with storytelling and creative play. Perfect for kids who love fantasy, this camp sparks wonder and artistic expression as they bring their own magical worlds to life! Ages 7-11
